Donations
Our Eastern Box Turtle Conservation Trust fund is managed by an umbrella, tax exempt (501C3), Foundation, the Bridge Builder’s Community Foundations (BBCF).
You can make a tax-exempt donation to the Box Turtle Trust Fund by either of these 2 methods:
[A] Credit card on-line or [B] Check sent by postal system
[A] You can donate via credit card, on-line, if you have a PayPal account.
To do so, follow the next 5 steps. You may want to print these instructions out, for ease in following the steps as you go through the process of making your donation. Just be careful not to miss step 4 explaining how to designate the Box Turtle Conservation Trust by entering that info under "Add special instruction to seller" or your well intended donation will not reach the Turtle Fund.
Here are the 5 steps to donate via credit card, on-line, with a PayPal account:
1) Go to “how to give” page for Bridge Builder’s Community Foundations at:
2) Click the “donate” button near top left of their page
3) Enter the donation amount in the “donation-amount” box ,
and then click “update total”
That action will send you to the PayPal page, at which point you need to log in with your PayPal password.
4) IMPORTANT ~ Upon reaching your PayPal's "Please review your donation" page, underneath the Bridge Builders listing, find PayPal’s “purpose” header, and NOTICE the blue scripted link entitled “Add special instructions to seller”
* click that link and it will open a message box, in which you need to type in an instruction that your donation is intended for the Turtle Conservation Trust Fund … type something along the lines of ...
“This donation is restricted to use by the Box Turtle Conservation Trust Fund”.
Be sure to designate the Box Turtle Conservation Trust, or your donation will not reach the Turtle Fund;
instead, it will go into the general fund of the Bridge Builder’s Foundation for use by a wide array of unrelated community funds serving various (non-turtle-conservation) programs in Venango, Clarion & Forest counties.
5) After adding that instruction to the box, and reviewing the rest of your donation page, Click the orange box to 'Donate now" and you're done.
Finally, we would appreciate being notified of any credit card donations going to the Bridge Builders Community Foundation, so that we can double check with the foundation to be sure that your donation has reached the proper FUND. We would also like to be able to thank you!

Tax-deductible donations to the Trust Fund are now made payable to:
"Bridge Builders Community Foundations" with "Belzer Turtle Conservation Trust" on the memo line.

Please include a note reiterating that the donation is a "restricted" donation for the Turtle Conservation Trust Fund (Plus specify any limiting-uses of the donation if so desired, e.g. for costs associated with electronic equipment for the study such as turtle transmitters, gps units, antennas, or veterinarian/medical/rehab expenses....)
