Chow Time

Pictured below is a female Eastern Box Turtle that is part of our study. 'Fairy' is about 7 years old and loves to eat a variety of different foods including blueberries (as pictured below), strawberries, raspberries, etc. She will also eat a variety of insects and some carrion as these animals are opportunistic feeders. Once she was done eating, she continued back underneath a wild blueberry bush from where she was found that day.
