After approximately 2 months of incubation, several of the eggs produced by Murphy, an adult female in our study, finally hatched. Each hatchling weighed 8-9 grams and has been growing well ever since. The hatchlings were given to a volunteer who will head-start them until they are large enough to be released onto the sanctuary where they will be free to roam and enjoy their new environment.
